Editor and Contributor of Lenten Devotional:
2021

For four years I have been blessed to have the job of editing and providing content for the Advent Devotional, this year we created a Lenten Devotional, a collaborative effort started at First Congregational Church of Fresno with other local churches in the Sequoia Association of the UCC, and friends. It is one of the things that has fed my soul the most, even though it is a LOT of work to get everyone’s submissions in on time, edited, formatted, and ready for print! Reading the different perspectives from those in my community on these familiar scriptures is a wonderful way to work one’s way through Advent.

Homily Transcript • December 22, 2019

This short homily was used on the fouth sunday of Advent, 2019 at Grace Community Church in North Fork, CA. I made use of storytelling through first-person narrative, telling Matthew 1:18-25 (Lectionary Year A) as imagined from Mary’s perspective. It has been my most-requested sermon to have a copy of after the service, and I’m going to pretend that it wasn’t just because it was short. 🙂
